Mayor Ivy R. Taylor Will Conclude Fall 2016 Mayor’s Book Club with Book Discussion and Writing Workshop

 Workshop facilitator Thomas Porter will lead participants in a personal journey of telling their own stories. Porter will discuss the importance of storytelling to the cultural narrative, an important theme in the fall 2016 Mayor’s Book Club pick The Fire This Time, a powerful collection of essays and poems about race in the United States.
